CURRICULUM

Our curriculum draws inspiration from various sources, including the Waldorf and South African National Curricula. Since our inception in 2021, we have developed and established an approach that facilitates multiple age groups in a classroom.

Two hours each morning are dedicated to specific subjects such as history, mathematics, English, geography, science, nature studies and seasonal festivals in blocks of three to four weeks. The rest of the school day is used for language and math practice, art, woodwork, handwork, music, and form drawing. The day’s structure creates a rhythmic, harmonious balance between the arts and academics.

LEGAL

 

Our children register successfully with other local schools (both state and private) after graduating from Treow.  

​

Treow is a registered NPC. We are not registered as a school, as there needs to be 20 children or more to do this. Parents are required to register with the Pestalossi Trust. We will assist with this.
